The RTG’s summer school provides a unique opportunity to learn from leading researchers in the field about their approach to the macroeconomics of inequality. The summer school brings together leading international faculty and ambitious doctoral students. The idea was to create a stimulating environment to discuss and start research. This year’s Summer School took place from June 25 – 29, 2018 at the Universitätsclub Bonn. It has been a great pleasure to have had Per Krusell (IIES Stockholm) and Kjetil Storesletten (University of Oslo) as lectures during that period. Lecturers and PhD Students enriched the Summer School and made it informative and interesting for both sides. The first RTG 2281 Summer School has received generous financial support by the DFG’s Priority Programme 1578 “Financial Market Imperfections and Macroeconomic Performance”. We would like to use this opportunity and thank everyone who participated in this year’s Summer School!
